This week-long trip is a hands-on experience in working with the local Rotary clubs to participate in Community Service, Polio Immunizations, project visits, friendships and learning how to support the Rotary projects of West Africa.

Tue., Nov., 4 -  Depart North America

Wed., Nov. 5 - Arrive in Lomé, Togo: Evening arrival in Lomé. Hotel transfer provided for group members on specified flights. First-class accommodations at the Hotel Sarakawa, which includes daily breakfasts and internet.
 
Thu., Nov. 6 –  Lomé: Today, we explore the capital city of Lomé as we visit Independence Square, the National Museum, the Palais de Lome and its park, etc. Lunch is provided as a tour service.  This afternoon, we plan a visit to the U.S. Embassy for a briefing. This evening, we attend a welcome reception/orientation at the hotel. 
 
Fri., Nov. 7 - Project Site Visits: This morning, members of the Rotary clubs of Lomé will take us into the local communities to see their projects that are creating lasting change. Today’s purpose is to create friendships and be exposed to their community service and humanitarian programs.       Tonight, we participate in a welcome dinner. This event will enable friendships with Rotarians from Togo and West Africa. 
 
Sat., Nov. 8 - West Africa Project Fair:  The West Africa Project Fair starts giving you the ability to engage with Rotarians and their projects from 15 West African nations. Today’s events include the Opening Ceremony, and visits to club booths to explore their projects. Lunch is provided. This evening is free for individual enjoyment.
 
Sun., Nov. 9 - West Africa Project Fair: We continue to visit the Project Fair booths to learn about the projects of the West African clubs and discover how to join them in addressing their humanitarians needs.  Lunch is included. Tonight, we attend a special closing dinner event.
 
Mon., Nov. 10 - Community Service/Humanitarian Day:   Today, we join the local Rotarians who will take us into Lomé’s rural communities to participate in hands-on community service work that include polio vaccinations, health screenings, etc. These projects will reflect the work that the local clubs pursue in their communities.  Lunch will be provided. This evening we participate in a Host Hospitality event, similar to those at the Rotary International Conventions.
 
Tue., Nov. 11 – Kpalime:  Today, we travel to the plateau region to visit a Ewe village to see local life in South Togo, including a visit to local coffee and cocoa community development project. We reach Kpalime to see the Viale Castle, the Kloto craft center, Kuma Konda, etc.  Lunch is provided.
 
Wed., Nov. 12 - Last Minute Shopping/Depart for Home:  This morning we enjoy last minute shopping, rest or free time to connect with the local Rotarians. We join with the local Rotarians for a farewell event before our evening flight.
 
Thu., Nov. 13 – Arrive in North America.
