Sat., Oct. 04 – Depart San Francisco:  Our group departs from San Francisco International Airport to Hong Kong in the early afternoon on Cathay Pacific Airlines.

Sun., Oct. 05 – Cross the International Dateline and arrive in Hong Kong: We will arrive in the exciting, cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong in the evening to begin this memorable journey.  We transfer from the airport to our accommodations at the superior-first class Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hotel, which is located in the heart of the Tsim Sha Tsui district of the Kowloon peninsula.  Daily breakfasts included.   

Mon., Oct. 06 – Hong Kong:   This morning, we enjoy a city sightseeing tour of Hong Kong Island, including the Central District, a ride on the tram to Victoria Peak, a boat ride on Aberdeen Bay and a visit to the exciting Stanley Market.  Our afternoon will be free for shopping or other individual pursuits. 

Tue., Oct. 07 – Hong Kong:  This morning will be free for individual pursuits—this will be a perfect time for a second fitting of any tailored clothes you might buy.  This afternoon, working with Hong Kong Rotarians, we will enjoy our first distribution of wheelchairs.  This will be our first opportunity to share in that special moment when a person’s life is changed when you place your first person into a wheelchair and give them the ability to become self-reliant, mobile and filled with hope.  This evening, we will enjoy a special dinner event with the Hong Kong Rotarians, where we can toast today’s accomplishments and new friendships.

Wed.,., Oct. 08 – Hong Kong/Shanghai:  This morning will be free for last minute shopping before we transfer to the Hong Kong Airport for our midday Dragon Airlines flight to Shanghai. One of most populous cities on earth, Shanghai has become the financial capital of China.  From the ultra modern Pudong district, the beauty of the Bund, and the shopping on Nanjing Road, Shanghai has become China’s most exciting city.  Upon our arrival, we will transferred to our accommodations at the superior-first class Shanghai Skyway Landis Hotel, which is located in the heart of the city. Daily breakfasts included.  This evening, we will enjoy a special Welcome Dinner, which is included as a tour service. 

Thu., Oct. 09 – Shanghai: This morning, we explore Shanghai with a city sightseeing tour that includes the Jade Buddha Temple, Yuyuan Garden and the famous Shanghai Museum.  This afternoon will be free to allow you an opportunity to explore the excitement and shopping opportunities of Shanghai.  

Fri., Oct. 10 – Shanghai:  This morning will be free for individual pursuits.  This afternoon, we will work with the Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Shanghai in our second distribution of wheelchairs.  This evening, we will enjoy a special dinner event with our new Rotarians friends in China.

Sat., Oct. 11 – Shanghai/Xi’an:  This morning will be free, before our midday flight to Xi’an, ancient capital of China and home to the famous Terra Cotta Warriors.  Upon our arrival, we will be transferred to our accommodations at the superior, first-class, Ginwa Plaza Hotel, which is located just outside the old city wall.  Daily breakfast included.  Afternoon free to explore this new city.

Sun., Oct. 12 – Xi’an:  All day sightseeing to the Hua Qing Hot Springs and the Terra Cotta Warrior Museum.  Lunch provided as a tour service.  This evening, we will enjoy dinner and special Tang Dynasty cultural show.

Mon., Oct. 13 – Xi’an/Beijing:  This morning, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Beijing, the capital of China.  Upon arrival, we enjoy city sightseeing during our transfer to our accommodations at the superior, first-class, Novotel Peace Hotel, which is located in the heart of Beijing.  Daily breakfasts included. 

Tue., Oct. 14 – Beijing:  This morning we visit Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden City.  Lunch included as a tour service.  This afternoon, we explore the beautiful Temple of Heaven.  This evening we will attend a meeting of the Rotary Club of Beijing.

Wed., Oct. 15 – Beijing:  All day sightseeing for a memorable visit to the Great Wall of China and the Ming Tombs.  Lunch will be provided as a tour service.  This evening, we will enjoy a famous Peking Duck dinner.

Thu., Oct. 16 – Beijing:  This morning, we will visit the magnificent Summer Palace – home of the Chinese Emperors.  Lunch provided as a tour service, This afternoon, we will be the third and last wheelchair distribution of our trip.  Farewell banquet included as a tour service.
