Thurs., - June 1: - Melbourne/Adelaide: Morning flight to Adelaide, a city of historic buildings, wide streets and a huge variety of cafes and restaurants. Upon arrival visit the largest market in the southern hemisphere to grab lunch before arriving at our accommodations at the Majestic Roof Garden hotel including daily breakfast. Evening Free.
Fri., June 2 - Adelaide: Today we visit the beachside town of Glenelg and Hahndorf, the oldest surviving Germanic settlement in Australia, and a true artisan village. For lunch, we will dine at in the Adelaide Hills at the Lane Vineyard. Afterward, we return to Adelaide.
Sat., June 3 – Adelaide: Today, is one for your culinary and vinous senses as we travel to the MacLaren Vale, one of Australia's most highly rated wine regions. Our journey will include private tastings at the highly rated d'Arenberg Winery and Wirra Wirra Vineyards, and a wonderful with lunch at Maxwell Winery. Evening Free.
Sun., June 4 – Adelaide/Alice Springs: Fly to the township of Alice Springs. Australia's most famous outback town known for it's intense desert landscape. The towns' isolation has led to the creation of an unrivalled community identity. Accommodations at the DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs including breakfast.
Mon., June 5 - Alice Springs/Ayres Rock (Uluru): Explore the many interesting highlights of Alice Springs, including the Telegraph Station, School of the Air and the Royal Flying Doctors Service. Next depart for Ayers Rock with a stop for lunch enroute. Uluru (Ayers Rock) is one of the country's most recognizable natural icons. Arrive Ayers Rock with accommodations a the Desert Gardens Hotel including breakfast.
Tue., June 6 - Ayres Rock: Just prior to sunrise this morning, we travel to see the sunrise on Uluru followed by a tour around the base of this icon including the Aboriginal rock paintings and history. Next travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the Walpa Gorge. Return to your hotel to prepare for your Sounds of Silence Dinner. A lone sand dune path takes you to an uninterrupted, 360 degree view of the vast landscape. In front of you, the fabled Uluru; behind you the dome of Kata Tjuta and a spectacular sunset. As the sun sets, feast of a bush tucker inspired buffet before your turn your attention to the night sky and some of the world's best stargazing.
Wed., June 7 – Ayres Rock/Cairns: Today we fly onward to Trinity Bay and the city of Cairns. Sitting offshore and shaping the city's character is the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef. Your accommodations are at the Pacific Hotel Cairns and include daily breakfasts.
Thur., June 8 - Cairns: Bring your swimwear, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen as today we take an all day trip out to one of the world's most popular diving sites. This full day tour includes the all weather marine platform, which caters for all activity levels. Snorkel in the sheltered coral lagoon, go scuba diving (no experience necessary/own expense) or enjoy the reef from the semi- submersible reef viewer, glass bottom boat and underwater observatory. Lunch is included as a tour service. Return to Cairns this evening.
Fri., June 9 - Cairns: Today we visit another World Heritage listed treasure, the ancient tropical rainforests of the Daintree National Park. A train will takes us on a leisurely trip to wind through dense tropical forests, past majestic waterfalls and over great ravines. Once we arrive at Rainforestation, take an Amphibious Army Duck through the rainforest and learn about its ecosystem. Lunch is included as a tour service before we visit the Pamagirri Aboriginal Cultural Center to learn to throw a boomerang or play the didgeridoo. After our visit board the world's largest gondola cableway and enjoy sites that were once strictly for the birds! Transfer back to Cairns for the evening.
Sat., June 10 - Cairns/Sydney: Fly to Sydney, home of the famous Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Bondi Beach. Accommodations at the Grace Hotel Sydney including daily breakfast.
Sun., June 11 - Sydney: Today we visit the Rocks - Sydney's birthplace and tour the iconic Sydney Opera House before enjoying a lunch cruise with million dollar Sydney harbour views. Balance of the day free for your enjoyment.
Mon., June 12 - Sydney: Travel Outside Sydney to the Blue Mountains, named because of the blue haze caused by light striking dust, droplets of moisture and eucalyptus oil in the atmosphere. See the world famous rock formation "The Three Sisters" and enjoy views of the Great Dividing Range which runs from North Queensland to Victoria. We will stop to visit Featherdale Wildlife Park. Featherdale provides a home to over 1,700 Australian native animals including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, as well as Dingos, wombats, and Tasmanian devils. Lunch is included as a tour service.
