Daily Tours
A sightseeing tour is included in each city or town you visit, along with free time to explore the city according to your own interests. The sightseeing tours can take place on foot, via motor coach, or a combination of the two. Each tour is led by a qualified, licensed English-speaking local guide or your Cruise Manager. In addition to our Gentle and Active Walkers groups for some excursions, we have a "Late Starter" option for guests who wish to sleep in but do not want to miss key tour highlights. For those guests interested in exploring Europe from an exciting new perspective, we offer guided bicycle and hiking tours in select cities. In addition to our many choices of excursions we also offer our Special Interest Tours, offering small groups the chance to be even more immersed into the local life. In the event of water level problems on certain stretches of the river, it may be necessary to operate part of the itinerary by motor coach or to alter the daily program as determined by the ship's Captain.

Join a guided tour through the Old City to Germany's oldest Town hall. or join a guided bike ride along the Rhine and through the Stadtgarten.
Wed., Jun 12– Rhine Gorge/Rudesheim: Cruise through the captivating UNESCO designated Rhine Gorge, the most stunningly beautiful stretch of the river before reaching the wine making town of Rudesheim. Soar above the vineyards with a gondola ride ending with a wine tasting, hike through the vineyards or bike to Schloss Johannisberg.

Visit Heidelberg the perfectly preserved medieval city or visit Speyer, one of Germany oldest cities, known for the largest Romanesque cathedral in Europe and the medieval Altportel or take a bike tour of the Rheingau.

- Fri., Jun 07– Amsterdam: Drive through the rich history and culture of Amsterdam. Pass the many canals for which Amsterdam is known and see the dancing houses, and the Central Station. Visit the historic brewery where Heineken’s beer was brewed for a hundred years. Enjoy a tour to the Royal Coastal Diamonds and explore the mystical world of diamonds. Watch the craftsmen cut and polish rough stones into the beautiful diamonds that are created in all shapes and sizes.

- Sun., June 16- Basel/Lucerne: Disembark the ship and, before transferring to Lucerne, go on a highlights tour of Basel. Once in Lucerne, discover its unrivaled beauty and charm on a walking tour. Afterwards, check into your hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening.
- Mon., June 17 - Lucerne: The iconic Lion Monument, which you’ll visit, was sculpted in memory of the Swiss Guards massacred during the French Revolution in 1792. You’ll also visit the spectacular medieval walls and towers, dating back to the 13th century. There are a total of nine towers, including one featuring the oldest clock in the city.
- Tue., June 18 - Lucerne/Zurich: Check out of your hotel and board a boat for a scenic cruise across Lake Lucerne to Vitznau. Once in Vitznau, you’ll transfer via motorcoach to Zurich, traveling past scenic landscapes and Alpine lakes. Once in Zurich, you’ll check into your hotel.
- Wed., June 19- Zurich: Switzerland’s largest city, Zurich, seamlessly blends its historic past with its progressive future—all of which will be on full display during your city tour.
