This week-long trip is a hands-on experience in working with the local Rotary clubs to participate in full day Rotary Family Health Day activities, project visits, friendships and learning how to support the Rotary projects of West Africa.

Mon., Oct., 28 - Depart North America
Tue., Oct. 29 - Arrive in Accra, Ghana: Evening arrival in Accra Hotel transfer provided for group members on specified flights. First-class accommodations at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, which includes daily breakfasts and internet.
Wed., Oct. 30 – Accra: Today, we explore the capital city of Accra. Sightseeing includes the W.E.B Dubois Centre for Pan African Culture, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Independence Square, Christianborg Castle, etc. Lunch is provided as a tour service. Afternoon visit to the U.S. Embassy for a briefing. This evening, we attend a welcome reception/orientation at the hotel.
Thu., Oct. 31 - Family Health Day: Today we join the local Rotarians who will take us into Accra’s rural communities for hands-on participation in a Rotary Family Health Day that will provide a range of services for children and community members. Treatments will include immunization for childhood diseases, including polio, and malaria, HIV, hypertension, glaucoma, diabetes, etc. Today is both an emotional and enlightening experience as you connect with the children of Africa. Lunch will be provided. This evening we attend a dinner event hosted by the District Governor.
Fri., Nov. 1 - Community Service/Humanitarian Day: This morning members of the Rotary clubs of Accra will take us into the local communities to see their projects that are creating lasting change. The purpose of today is to create friendships and be exposed to the community service and humanitarian programs of Rotary. Tonight we participate an Inter-City meeting with the Rotary clubs in and around Accra. This event will enable friendships with Rotarians from Ghana and West Africa.
Sat., Nov. 2 - West Africa Project Fair: The West Africa Project Fair starts giving you the ability to engage with Rotarians and their projects from 15 West African nations. Today’s events include the Opening Ceremony, and visits to club booths to explore their projects. Lunch is provided. This evening is free for individual enjoyment.
Sun., Nov. 3 West Africa Project Fair: We continue to visit the Project Fair booths to learn about the projects of the West African clubs and discover how to join them in addressing their humanitarians needs. Lunch is included. Tonight, we attend a special closing dinner and entertainment event.
Mon., Nov. 4 – Accra: Today, we travel to the beach side community of Kokrobite to see a special project and to experience rural Ghanaian life and the customs of the Ga Tribe. Lunch is provided.
Tue., Nov. 5 - Accra/Last Minute Shopping/Depart for Home: This morning we enjoy last minute shopping, rest and free time to connect with the local Rotarians. We join with the local Rotarians for a farewell event before our evening flight from Accra.
Thu., Nov. 6 – Arrive in North America.
