Fri., Feb. 12 - Depart Home Airport for India: Our journey begins as we depart for India.
Sat., Feb. 13 - Arrive in Delhi: Welcome to India! Upon arrival, transfer to the deluxe Lalit New Delhi Hotel, or similar, where daily breakfasts are included.
Sun., Feb. 14 - Delhi: Our introduction to India begins amid the energy and history of Old Delhi, with visits to the Red Fort and Jama Masjid. After lunch, we continue to the Gandhi Museum and Gandhi Smriti, offering a moving look at the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. The evening is free to relax before tomorrow’s journey to Agra.
Mon., Feb. 15 – Delhi/Agra: This morning, we travel to Agra, home of the legendary Taj Mahal. En route, we visit Sikandra, the impressive tomb of Akbar the Great. Following lunch, experience the unforgettable sight of the Taj Mahal before exploring the massive Agra Fort. Overnight at the ITC Mughal Hotel, or similar, with dinner and breakfast included.
Tue., Feb. 16 – Agra/Jaipur: After visiting the exquisite Itmad-Ud-Daulah, known by many at the “Baby Taj,” we continue toward Jaipur, India’s colorful “Pink City.” Along the way, we explore Fatehpur Sikri, the fascinating former Mughal capital. Lunch is included. Our accommodations are at the Jaipur Hilton, or similar, with daily breakfasts. The evening is free.
Wed., Feb. 17 - Jaipur: Today reveals the splendor of Jaipur, including the City Palace Complex, Jantar Mantar observatory and iconic Hawa Mahal. After lunch, our Rotary experience begins with a visit to the Jaipur Limb Factory, a renowned Rotary project providing artificial limbs to people in need. This evening, we share dinner and fellowship with members of Jaipur’s Rotary clubs.
Thu., Feb. 18 - Jaipur/Delhi: We begin at the magnificent Amer Fort, dramatically set above Jaipur. After lunch, we continue sightseeing as we journey back to Delhi. Accommodations are at the Hyatt Regency Delhi, or similar, with daily breakfasts.
Fri., Feb. 19- Delhi: Today blends India’s heritage with Rotary service. We begin at Qutub Minar, a 13th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site, then visit the Kusumpur Pahari Project in one of Delhi’s largest underserved communities. Here, women gain skills in microfinance, sewing and hand stitching—helping create greater independence for themselves and their families. After lunch, we visit a dialysis project at Saket Gurudwara, a Sikh temple. The day concludes with a special event hosted by Rotary District 3011.
Sat., Feb. 20 - Delhi: Today, our focus turns to polio eradication. At St. Stephen’s Hospital, known for post-polio surgeries, we receive a briefing from the India National PolioPlus Committee that prepares us for the work ahead. We attend a Rotary club meeting at lunch, then visit Delhi Haat for local arts and crafts. Accommodations are at the Novotel Aerocity, or similar, with daily breakfasts. This evening, we enjoy fellowship with the Rotary Club of Delhi South Metropolitan.
Sun., Feb. 21 – Polio Immunization Exercises: Today brings us to the heart of our Rotary journey. Working alongside local Rotarians and health workers, we travel into a high-risk community and participate at polio vaccination stations. It is a rare opportunity to experience Rotary’s promise of a polio-free world not as an observer, but as a participant. Lunch follows the activities, and this evening we gather for a special farewell dinner.
Mon., Feb. 22 – Polio Immunization Exercises/Depart for Home: Our service continues this morning as we join house-to-house immunization activities, reaching families directly and seeing firsthand the determination required to finish the job of polio eradication. After lunch, we return to the hotel to pack and freshen up before transferring to the airport for our flights home.
