Howard Tours, which is owned and operated by Rotarians, has been taking Rotarians to Rotary's conventions,
polio immunization days, humanitarian projects and friendship exchanges since the 1950s.

Sun., Jan. 15 – Depart home for Guatemala City. Upon arrival we will be transferred to our accommodations at the Biltmore Hotel, including daily breakfasts. Free evening .
Mon., Jan. 16 - Delivery of Wheelchairs: Today, is an unforgettable day of humanity, human endeavor and emotion, where we share that special moment when a person’s life is changed by giving them the ability to become self-reliant, mobile and filled with hope. You should expect to work hard, side-by-side, with our Guatemalan friends, sharing in the joy that comes from a meaningful job, well done. Afterwards, we will celebrate our work with the Guatemalan Rotarians at lunch which is provided as a tour service. Following lunch, we will take a tour of Guatemala City before returning to the hotel. This evening is free for individual dining or pursuits.
Tue., Jan. 17 – Guatemala City/Lake Atitlan: This morning, we depart for a journey to the picturesque, mountain lake region of Lake Atitlan. En route, we stop for lunch, which is provided as a tour service. We stop in Solola to visit RACHEL schools to see the impact of these educational programs. Our travel will conclude upon arrival at our lakeside accommodations at the Hotel Atitlan, which includes daily breakfast. This evening is free for rest, or to explore the town of Panajachel.
Wed., Jan. 18 – Lake Atitlan: This morning, we take boats across Lake Atitlan to visit San Juan La Laguna to visit a few more of the RACHEL schools. You will have time to explore San Juan, and have lunch at your own expense. This afternoon we return to Panajachel . This evening, we will join local Rotarians for a shared dinner event in a Panajachel restaurant
Thu., Jan. 19 – Lake Atitlan/Antigua: This morning our journey continues en route to the charming, colonial town of Antigua. Accommodations at the Hotel Las Farolas, including daily breakfast. Lunch and the afternoon are free for individual enjoyment and exploration. Antigua is a walkable town filled with many charming restaurants and shops. Late this afternoon, is a reception of cocktails and finger food, in the beautiful home of an American couple who have relocated to Antigua. The evening is free for individual enjoyment.
Fri., Jan. 20 - Antigua: Most of the day will be free for you to continue to explore Antigua. However, today will include a smaller wheelchair distribution. The time of this distribution will be determined after our arrival. This evening, we will join together in a special farewell dinner event included as a tour service.
Sat., Jan. 21 – Depart for home: Early morning transfer to Guatemala City and the airport for our flights home.
