Thu., May 09 – Cross the International Dateline
Fri., May 10 - Arrive in Siem Reap, Cambodia. After entry procedures, a motorcoach transfer is provided to members on who arrive the Singapore Airlines group flight. Lunch is provided as a tour service enroute to our accommodations at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Resort, which include daily breakfasts. Afternoon free to enjoy the resort and rest following our long day of travel.
Sat., May 11 – Siem Reap/Ankor Wat: Our full day of sightseeing begins with an early morning to visit Angkor Wat, one of the modern wonders of the world. Learn how the Khmer Empire prospered between the 9th and 13th centuries. Lunch is provided, after which we continue sightseeing at Angkor Thom, the ancient royal city of Khmer Empire with its centrepiece - the Banyon temple. This evening we gather for a welcome dinner.
Sun., May 12 - Siem Reap/Ankor Wat/Hanoi: Today we start with the Roulous temple group. The ruins are among the oldest Khmer monuments in the area, dating back to the 9th century. There are three key Hindu structures that remain at Roulous; Lolei, Bakong and Preah Ko, which were all part of the ancient city of Hariharalaya. Lunch is provided, after which, we drive to the airport for our group flight to Hanoi. After entry procedures, motorcoach transfer provided to our accommodations at the Movenpick Hanoi Hotel, which includes daily breakfasts.
Mon., May 13 – Hanoi: Today's sightseeing offers an overview about Hanoi culture and history. We will see the Temple of Literature, West Lake, and Tran Quoc Pagoda, etc. Lunch is provided, after which we visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son temple, etc. Return to the hotel for free time at leisure. This evening, dinner is provided as a tour service.
Tue., May 14 – Hanoi: Morning visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Hoa Lo prison which was used by the French between 1896-1954 to imprison Vietnamese political prisoners before it housed American POWs, and the old quarter of Hanoi, etc. Lunch is provided. Free afternoon. This evening we witness a performance of the famous Vietnamese Water Puppets, followed by dinner.
Wed., May 15 – Hanoi/ Ha Long Bay: Morning departure for Halong Bay, an extraordinarily beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival, we will board an Au Co Cruise boat to spend two days and one night exploring the beauty and culture of the bay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included with our accommodation. All cabins have private baths.
Thu., May 16 – Halong Bay/Hanoi/Hue: This morning we continue with our cruise, before we dock and transfer back to Hanoi for a group flight to Hue. Upon our arrival in Hue, we are transferred to our Melia Vinpearl Hue accommodations, which includes daily buffet breakfasts.
Fri., May 17 - Hue: Morning sightseeing at the Citadel, Purple Royal Palaces, etc. Lunch provided. Afternoon free. Dinner is included as a tour service.
Sat., May 18 – Hue/Hoi An: Depart by private boat for travel down the Perfumed River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and the mausoleum of King Minh Mang. We then continue our travels by motorcoach across Cloudy Pass. Lunch is provided. Resort accommodations at the Boutique Hoi An Resort, which includes daily breakfasts. Evening Free.
Sun., May 19 - Hoi An: Morning city sightseeing in Hoi An. This World Heritage ancient town is recognized for its well-preserved architecture and pedestrian-only streets. Our tour includes exploring the precious shops, temples, and sites of this historical village. Lunch provided as a tour service. Free afternoon. Dinner included as a tour service.
Mon., May 20 – Hoi An: Free day for relaxation and personal enjoyment of the resort. A special outdoor dinner event at the hotel is included.
Tue., May 21 - Hoi An/Da Nang/Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon): This morning our group flight flies to Saigon. Upon arrival, lunch is provided before we begin our exploration by visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Presidential Palace, etc. Our accommodations are at the Caravelle Hotel, which includes daily breakfasts. The balance of the day and evening are free afternoon for relaxation and enjoyment.
Wed., May 22 - Saigon: Morning city sightseeing tour including Chinatown, Thien Hau Pagoda, etc. Free afternoon for your enjoyment. Tonight’s dinner event is at the former home of Henry Cabot Lodge, who was the U.S. Ambassador to South Vietnam. The event includes entertainment and a special menu.
Thu., May 23 - Saigon: Early morning visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, followed by a visit to the Cao Dai Great Temple to witness a distinctive religious ceremony. Lunch and Dinner are provided.
Fri., May 24 – Saigon: Today’s all day excursion to My Tho and the Mekong Delta is distinctive to see the way of life and culture in the delta area. Lunch provided as a tour service. Free evening.
Sat., May 25 – Ho Chi Minh City(Saigon)/Singapore: Today, we leave Saigon. Motorcoach transfer provided to the airport for our Singapore Airlines group flight to Singapore. Registration, hotel accommodations and transfers to the convention hotels are not included in the tour price.
Sun., May 26 –– Wed., May 29 - Singapore: Attend the Rotary International Convention. No Howard Tours’ events are scheduled in deference to the Rotary Convention activities.
