Fri., May 24 – Arrive Singapore: You arrive a day before the Rotary Convention activities begin. Convention registration, hotel accommodations and transfers to the convention hotels are not included in the tour price.
Sat., May 26 –– Wed., May 29 - Singapore: Attend the Rotary International Convention. No Howard Tours’ events are scheduled in deference to the Rotary Convention activities.
Thu., May 30 – Singapore/Johor Bahru/Malacca: This morning, we leave Singapore, and cross the border into Malaysia. which is known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and European cultural influences. Sightseeing in Johor Bahru includes the Grand Palace, Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque, etc. Lunch is included as a tour service. We then travel through Johor state en route to Malacca, and our accommodations at the Casa del Rio Melaka which include daily breakfasts.
Fri., May 31 – Malacca: The morning is free to explore before our afternoon city sightseeing to Port de Santiago, St. Paul’s Church, a cruise on the Malacca River, etc. This evening we get together for a welcome dinner, included as a tour service.
Sat., June 01 – Malacca/Putrajaya/Kuala Lumpur: En route to Kuala Lumpur, we visit Malaysia’s national capital city of Putrajaya to see the city’s architectural landmarks, including the Putra Mosque, Perdana Putra, the ‘White House of Malaysia,” etc. Lunch is provided before we travel to Kuala Lumpur and our accommodations at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur Hotel, which includes daily breakfasts.
Sun., June 02 – Kuala Lumpur: Our morning sightseeing unveils the beauty and charm of the old and new Kuala Lumpur, Garden City of Lights. Sightseeing includes a stop at the famous Patronas Twin Towers, the National Museum, cultural visits, etc. This afternoon is free so you can explore this extraordinary city on your own.
Mon., June 03 – Kuala Lumpur: Today, we travel outside of the city center to Ambassador Row, stopping at the largest and most modern pewter factory in the world. We continue to the limestone hills of the Batu Caves to witness the shrine of Lord Murugah, the Museum Cave, etc. Afternoon free for independent exploration.
Tue., June 04 – Kuala Lumpur/Penang: All day sightseeing through the Malaysia countryside en route to Kuala Kangsar, the royal town for Malaysia’s Perak State. During our visit, the villagers will share their culture, food, and hospitality. Lunch is provided. Our next stop is Penang, the cuisine capital of Malaysia. We arrive at our accommodations at the ParkRoyal Penang Resort which includes daily breakfasts.
Wed., June 05 – Penang: Our first stop on our full day sightseeing is a funicular train up Penang Hill, where the oldest British hill station in the region was established. Our sightseeing includes Kek Lok Si, the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia, etc. Lunch is provided. The balance of the day is free to rest and explore.
Thu., June 06 – Penang / Enjoy the Resort: Today is a day to do as you please at our five-star resort. Sleep, read a book, go to the spa, enjoy Batur Ferringhi Beach, or take a pedicab into George Town, which is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. This evening, we will enjoy our farewell dinner Enjoy dinner at Kebaya Dining Room, which is known for serving some of the best Indochinese and Peranakan fare in Penang.
Fri., June 07 – Penang/Return Home. Today, our visit to Malaysia ends as we provide a motorcoach transfer for our members departing on our Singapore Airlines group flight.
